Bruins to skate Black & Gold Game in New England Hockey
Festival
February 16, 2005 - The New England Bruins have agreed to skate a Black vs.
Gold Exhibition Game as part of the 2005 New England Hockey Festival. The
game is scheduled for Saturday, March 26th at the Family Ice Center in
Falmouth, Maine.
"Our good friends and partners at the Family Ice Center asked us to put on
the exhibition in response to a request from New England Hockey and we're
thrilled to be able to support their request," said Bruins Team Leader Dale
Wise. "Skating the Black & Gold game meant giving up the Boston Bruins
Alumni Game Exhibition at St. Anselm College that we had already scheduled,
but we are thrilled to do something in partnership with the Family Ice
Center who is so incredibly generous with us."
It is expected that there will be a great deal of media attention directed
toward the Festival and the Black & Gold Game will provide a wonderful
opportunity to showcase sled hockey. The Bruins will put two highly
competitive teams on the ice and will be sure to provide a first rate sled
hockey viewing experience for spectators.
